Usage Instructions
ZeoDeo unscented zeolite pellets are designed for use in dual layer cat litter boxes only.
- Add 1.8 kg of zeolite pellets onto the grate at the upper level of the litter box. Ensure the layer is 2-3 centimeters thick.
- Insert a special super-absorbent pad into the lower level of the tray.
- Remove solid excrements from the tray using a dedicated scoop as soon as it appears.
- Dispose of any soiled or waste-clinging granules promptly.
- Add more cat litter pellets as needed to maintain the recommended thickness.
- Do not flush ZeoDeo granules down the toilet.
How Often to Change the Pellets
Maintaining the freshness of the litter box is essential!
- For 1 cat (8 kg) or 2 small cats: Change the adsorbent pellets every 30 days to ensure a fresh environment.
- For a very small and tidy 3 kg cat: Change the pellets every 45-60 days for continued freshness.
Considerations for less frequent changes: You may extend the interval beyond 30 days if:
- Your cat uses another litter box simultaneously.
- Your cat regularly relieves itself outdoors.
For 2 or 3 large cats: Change the pellets every 15 days or more frequently if they become soiled.
Special circumstances: In the case of diarrhea, dispose of all soiled pellets and refill with fresh ones to maintain a smell-good environment that keeps odours from spreading all over the house.
Attention!
- Replace the granules no later than 60 days from the start of use in the cat litter box, even if they appear clean and scent-free. Extended use beyond 60 days may pose health risks to both cats and humans due to potential bacterial buildup.
We recommend changing the pellets every 30 days to ensure optimal hygiene.
- Do not wash or reuse the granules. Their porous structure, akin to silica gel or activated charcoal, absorbs urine and other contaminants that cannot be effectively removed by washing.
Washing and reusing the pellets can compromise animal health.
Pellet Replacement Procedure
- Remove the lid from the litter box and carefully add out the used granules into a disposal bag.
- Clean the grate and other parts of the litter box thoroughly using soap or a disinfectant solution.
- Wipe the cleaned parts dry with paper towels and reassemble the litter box.
- Add fresh pellets from a new pack onto the grate, ensuring a uniform layer.
- Place a new pad in the designated tray at the bottom of the litter box.
- Your litter box is now ready for use again.
Precautions:
- Do not ingest the pellets: These are solid objects and should be kept away from the esophagus and respiratory tract. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowed by humans or animals.
- Eye contact: If granules come into contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists after rinsing.
