Operating Instructions for Double-Layer Little Litter Box:

Preparation for Use:

  1. Unpack the starter kit and assemble the small kitten litter box.
  2. Add the entire 1.6 kg pack of litter pellets onto the grid. This is the recommended amount.
  3. Place the pad in the bottom tray and carefully spread it out. Ensure the edges of the pad are lifted upwards to prevent liquid from seeping underneath, keeping the litter tray dry.

Your cat litter box for small apartment is now ready for use!

Litter Box Maintenance:

  • Remove solid waste promptly from the litter box. Optionally, allow excrements to dry briefly to facilitate easier separation from clinging granules. Solid waste can be flushed down the toilet if it’s free of pellets, or scoop it out using the provided scoop. Do not flush the pellets as they do not dissolve in water.
  • If your cat has diarrhea, discard all soiled pellets. For recurring issues, it’s recommended to consult with the seller before purchasing the litter box.
  • Change the pad weekly or as needed. Remove the used pad from the litter box, dispose of it in a trash bag, and wipe or rinse the tray if necessary. Place a new pad evenly in the tray and reinsert it into the litter box.
  • Replace the pellets monthly. Disassemble the top part of the litter box and empty the pellets from the grid into a trash bag. Wash the grid with water and soap, and clean any other dirty parts of the litter box. Wipe all surfaces dry with paper towels or a cloth. Optionally, use a disinfectant on the litter box components. Reassemble the litter box, add fresh pellets onto the grid, and place the pad in the tray, ensuring the edges are properly spread and lifted.

Important!

Under all circumstances, it is crucial to replace the pellets with new ones within a maximum interval of 60 days. Washing dirty pellets and reusing them is strictly prohibited. Failure to replace or reuse pellets poses health risks to both pets and humans, increasing the potential for bacterial infections.

Consumption – Frequency of Changing Pellets and Pads:

For one small cat (2-4 kg) per month, you will need:

  • 4 pads per month (change every 7-8 days).
  • 1 pack of pellets (change every 30-60 days).

For one medium-sized cat (6 kg) per month, you will need:

  • 4-6 pads per month (change every 5-7 days).
  • 1 pack of pellets (change monthly).

For two cats sharing one litter box, per month you will need:

  • 6-10 pads (change every 3-5 days).
  • 1 pack of pellets (change monthly).

For three cats sharing one litter box, per month you will need:

  • 8-12 pads (change every 3-5 days).
  • 1-2 packs of pellets (change every 2-3 weeks).

The frequency of pad replacement may vary based on factors such as the cat’s health, urine composition, size, and diet. If you notice odours from the pad before it’s due for a change, consider consulting the seller for advice. Additionally, you can use specialized deodorants to prevent odors from developing over extended periods.

How to Train a Cat to Use a New Litter Box:

Most cats (around 95% of cases) transition smoothly to a new litter box when placed in the same spot as their old one. However, some cats may need a gradual introduction:

  1. Introduce the Granules: Begin by mixing the new pellets into the old litter box. Allow the cat to become familiar with the new texture.
  2. Place New Litter Box Nearby: Position the new litter box with pellets next to the old one. You can initially leave the top edges of the new box open, as some cats prefer this.
  3. Stop Cleaning the Old Litter Box: Cats typically prefer a clean environment and will transition to the new box when comfortable.
  4. Remove the Old Litter Box: Once your cat consistently uses the new litter box, you can remove the old one completely.

Be patient during this process, as each cat adjusts at its own pace. If your cat shows hesitation or reluctance, follow these steps gradually to help them adapt to the new litter box with pellets.

Remember, every cat has its own preferences and behaviors. Don’t hesitate to contact the seller for additional advice or support if needed.
