The included litter and pads in the starter kit are sufficient for one or two medium-sized cats for one month.

Operation Instructions for Double Layer Covered Litter Boxes for Cats
Preparation for Use:
- Unpack the kit and assemble the litter box with cover.
- Add the entire 1.6 kg pack of granules onto the grate. This is the required amount.
- Place the pad in the lower tray and spread it out carefully. Ensure the edges of the pad are raised upwards to prevent liquid from getting underneath. The tray should remain dry.
- The domed cat litter box is now ready for use!
Maintenance of the Litter Box:
1. Remove Solid Waste:
- Remove solid waste as soon as it appears. Optionally, leave it briefly to dry, making it easier to separate any stuck granules.
- Dispose of solid waste in the toilet if the pellets do not adhere to it, or scoop it out. Do not flush the granules down the toilet as they do not dissolve in water.
2. Handling Diarrhea:
- If your cat has diarrhea, discard all soiled pellets.
- If your cat frequently has diarrhea, consult the seller before purchasing the litter box.
3. Changing the Pad:
- Change the pad once a week or as needed.
- Carefully remove the tray with the pad from the litter box and dispose of the used pad in a trash bag.
- Wipe or rinse the tray if necessary. Insert a new pad and spread it out, ensuring the edges are raised. Place the tray with the new pad back into the litter box.
4. Replacing the Granules:
- Change the granules once a month.
- Remove the top part of the litter box. Dispose the pellets from the grate into a trash bag.
- Wash the grate with soap and water. Clean any other dirty parts of the litter box.
- Wipe all parts with paper towels or a cloth. Optionally, disinfect the parts with a disinfectant.
- Reassemble the litter box. Add the granules onto the grate. Place the pad in the tray, ensuring the edges are spread out and raised.
Important Notice:
Regardless of circumstances, it is crucial to replace the pellets with new ones every 60 days at maximum. Never wash dirty pellets and reuse them.
Not replacing or reusing washed pellets poses a serious health risk to both pets and humans, as it can lead to bacterial infections.
Usage – Frequency of Pellet and Pad Replacement:
For one small cat (2-4 kg) per month, you will need:
- 4 pads (replace every 7-8 days)
- 1 pack of granules (replace every 30-60 days)
For one medium-sized cat (6 kg) per month, you will need:
- 4-6 pads (replace every 5-7 days)
- 1 pack of granules (replace monthly)
For two cats sharing one litter box per month, you will need:
- 6-10 pads (replace every 3-5 days)
- 1 pack of granules (replace monthly)
For three cats sharing one litter box per month, you will need:
- 8-12 pads (replace every 3-5 days)
- 1-2 packs of granules (replace every 2-3 weeks)
The frequency of changing the pad can also depend on individual cat characteristics such as health, urine composition, size, and diet. If you notice odor from the pad before it is fully used, consult the seller for advice. You can also use a specialized deodorizer that prevents odours from forming for an extended period.
How to Train a Cat to Use a New Litter Box:
In 95% of cases, cats will adapt easily to a new litter box. However, if your cat is hesitant, follow these steps sequentially rather than making all changes at once:
- Introduce the Pellets: Start by adding a sufficient amount of pellets into their old litter box, mixing them with the existing litter. Allow your cat to get accustomed to the new granules.
- Place the New Litter Box: Position the new litter box with pellets next to the old one. You can also try removing the top edges of the litter box, as some cats prefer lower entry points.
- Gradual Transition: Stop cleaning the old litter box. Cats naturally prefer clean spaces, so eventually, your cat will choose the new litter box for its cleanliness.
- Remove the Old Litter Box: Once your cat consistently uses the new litter box, you can safely remove the old one.
Remember, each cat has its own personality, so patience is the key throughout entire process.
If you encounter difficulties, don’t hesitate to contact the seller for consultation and assistance.
